About Caboolture Shire Fish Stocking Group Inc.

Group's Formation:

The group was first formed in July 2000 as a steering non-profit organization.

Group's Goals:

To improve and maintain native fish stocks in the Caboolture River Catchment and local streams and the Stanley River Catchment. Encourage community involvement; promote a sense of public ownership of the waterways, an awareness of the importance of habitat preservation and a basic understanding of the biology and ecology of our local waterways. Stocking of the above catchments will provide a recreational fishery and an interest for local children whilst encouraging visitors to the region.

The stocking of the above waterways involves but is not limited to fundraising for fish stocking, support and participation in monitoring and research and promotion of the advantages of fish stocking.
